The Happy End

has been made. We agreed that it was time to see someone who could help us figure out why we haven't been able to conceive a child.
At that time I was with the HMO Kaiser and you have to go through all the different channels and referrals before you actually get to be seen by a Fertility Specialist.

My regular OBGYN is getting me started with the "Clomid Challenge test" while I am trying to make an appointment with the specialist.

The clomid challenge and estradoil tests were done in November 2002. My next appointment with the Specialist was scheduled for the end of January, 2003.

We had our appointment in April 2003 with a Fertility Specialist in Berkley.
He ordered some additional test that hadn't been done at Kaisers. Some blood tests, hSG and a sperm analysis.
After having done all the tests the RE suggested doing an IUI since we were already half way through my cycle. But maybe we were lucky and would get pregnant that way.
Well, it didn't happen, the IUI resulted in a BFP. Let's just say, if we would have known what we know today the RE should have NEVER suggested to do an IUI in our case. The Male Factor makes it almost impossible for us to get pregnant this way. Needless to say we never went back to him.

But nothing ever happens as it's supposed to.  DH has started a new job Jan 1st, 2003, which meant we had to change over to a new health insurance.

So, we had to wait for it to kick in before we could see a new Doctor. I remember how bothered I was with it at first. I had just gotten comfortable with the staff at Kaisers, now I had to go to someone else.

Hi! I would like to mention that this webpage is still in it's beginning stage. This is my first time putting a website together. So please be gentle and bear with me:).
Some of the information may not be complete. I am still waiting for some records so I can add more details to the treatments and protocols I have listed. I am going to update it as our journey progresses. Check in again to see what's been happening.
