Outline For IVF Cycle Using Mid-Cycle Lupron
09/12/03 First Day of menses:
> CALL clinic
> Schedule testing and injection instruction class as needed
> Confirm BCP and Lupron start
09/14/03 BCP's Start. Take only active tabs. Last BCP 10/04. Continue or begin Prenatal
Vitamins.
09/24/03 IMPORTANT: CALL nursing staff week before Lupron Start to confirm all testing/consents
are complete.
10/01/03 LUPRON START: .5mg . Continue untol instructed to stop.
Cycle fee or fiancial contract is due.
10/07/03 2nd menses (begins ~ 2-4 days afetr last BCP, or 7 -10 days after beginning
Lupron if not usisng BCPs
CALL clinic, schedule baseline
10/09/03 (by then) BASELINE APPOINTMENT: Ultrasound, Uterine measurement, E2. Meet
nurse to review medication start.
10/10/03 STIMULATION MEDICATION START (Gonal-F + Repronex)
This is called Cycle Day 2 = CD2 for scheduling purposes
> Begin 81mg Aaaspirin
10/12/03 CD 4: last day of intercourse
10/14/03 CD 6: last day of high-impact exercise.
10/15/03 CD7: Estradiol level boold test
(Also collect semen specimen for "Back-Up" for freezing
Attend egg class, WEd. evenings at 6 pm, need to schedule)
10/17/03 CD 9: E2 test and ultrasound. Give Lupron in am, not stimulation meds. Wait
until after appointment. Meds may have to be adjusted based on u/s findings.
(Last day for partner to ejaculate until egg retrieval.)
10/18/03 CD 10: E2 and ultrasound
10/19/03 CD 11: Tenative review for HCG/ Pre-Op instructions/schedule Egg Retrieval.(did
HCG trigger at 9pm that night!!)
10/21/03 CD 13: Egg retrieval. Daily medications, Prgesterone, Medrol and Antibiotic begin
as directed
10/24/03 CD 16: 3 day Embryo transfer.
Betas: Day 11 and day 13 after Egg Retrieval. BFN:(
