After our first IVF cycle failed in Fall 2003 we decided to take a break over the holidays, but as time
went by all the sudden doubts started creeping into our minds.
Should we really try again?
What if it doesn't work?
It is surely a lot of money to spend on something and not having any guarantee that it would work.
We want a baby so much and thought maybe going through an adoption would be a wiser choice to make.
We had met some friends at a Christmas party who had just adopted a little girl. They seemed to be very
happy with the way things went.
We decided to go for it and go with the more "sure thing". We met with the facilitators of
a women's clinic in Chico in January. We did everything we were suppose to do and waited and waited and waited.
By the time Easter came around and we still hadn't gotten on a waiting list, we decided to think things
over again and came to the conclusion that we should give IVF another try.
